HOW DOES IT WORK?
WHY SHOULD YOU FIT IT?
WHAT’S INCLUDED?

This wireless system needs no programming and features a compact LCD screen which fits into a magnetic mount placed on a prominent part of the bike. The fully sealed and buttonless device can be quickly removed for security and is small enough to fit in a pocket.

The display offers a battery life of up to three months, with the USB-powered inductive charger making it simple to top-up.

Once fitted, the unit displays the pressure of both tyres, in either psi or bar, toggling between the front and rear at set intervals.

Riders will see a low-pressure warning if a tyre becomes under-inflated by 15%, an enhanced alert when the pressure either drops by 25%, or if over-inflated by 35% or more. There are also alerts for high tyre temperatures or fast leakage (at least 2 psi per minute).

Riding on incorrectly inflated rubber or suffering a tyre failure on two wheels is a potential nightmare scenario for any rider.

Our system continually monitors both tyres and provides precise pressure readings – unlike indirect TPMS solutions which typically offer estimates via the bike’s brake sensors.

Under-inflated tyres can seriously affect a motorcycle’s handling as they become deformed, reducing contact with the road and risking the tyre being pulled off the rim. The tyres are also more likely to overheat or be damaged by debris, whilst over-inflation can lead to uneven wear, reduced handling and poor ride comfort.

Our unique ‘plug & play’ kit comes as standard with:

  • Magnetic display mount
  • USB-powered inductive charger
  • Two sensors to replace the original valve caps.
  • Two locking wheel nuts (optional fit)

  • “There have been some aftermarket systems before, but to be honest, all the ones we’ve seen have been rather clunky. This looks much, much better though. The price seems decent for the quality.”

    Visor Down

  • “The simplicity, ease of use and the accuracy of the readings that this provides makes it well worth considering.”

    Adventure Bike Rider

  • “Introduces new levels of safety for riders for whom tyre condition is critical.”

    Tyres & Accessories

  • “There’s no wiring or calibration – you just take it out of the box and it all works, displaying your tyres’ pressures.”

FAQS

Can it really be fitted in a just few minutes?

Yes, it really is that simple!

Once the kit has been fitted, please ensure that you ride the bike immediately for the sensors to auto pair with the receiver.

How long is the warranty?

The system is warranted to be free from manufacturing defects and is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from date of purchase.

What do I do if I have a technical issue?

MICHELIN TPMS – Bike is designed to be ‘plug-and-play’ and we’d be surprised if you encounter any technical issues. But if you do, just get in touch via our contact us page and we’ll provide prompt assistance.

Do the external sensors corrode?

The sensors use a thread which is nickel-plated. This will avoid corrosion with valve stems such as aluminium. During winter when the roads are heavily salted, it is advisable to take precautions and periodically remove the sensors for checking.

When cleaning my wheels can I wash the sensors?

This is not a problem, however please avoid using specific wheel cleaning chemicals which may, in some cases, attach themselves to the sensor. This may give the effect of a discolouration of the sensor, which can only be removed with rigorous cleaning.

What speeds can the system operate at?

MICHELIN TPMS – Bike has been tested at high speeds. Even if you have a Suzuki Hayabusa parked in your garage, it’ll still work perfectly when you hit the road.

Do I need to fit batteries?

The display unit is designed to last for up to 3 months on a single charge, depending on use. It can be easily removed and the battery topped up using the USB-powered inductive charger at any time.

Each TPMS sensor has a built-in battery projected to last 3-5 years, depending on bike use. An accelerometer in each sensor allows it to sleep when stationary for a period, only waking up once the journey starts – to maximise battery conservation.

How do I program my correct pressure settings into the unit?

Quite simply, you don’t. We’ve designed our TPMS sensors to automatically calibrate to your tyre pressures when first installed. This is unique to our system, avoiding the need for bulky monitor-style receivers with fiddly buttons. Simply ensure your tyres are correctly inflated when cold before installation.

What happens if a sensor is damaged in an accident or needs replacing out of warranty?

Additional sensors can be purchased at any time.

Are the sensors waterproof?

The sensors are waterproof and have been tested to IP67 rating which is a 1 metre depth. However, we don’t recommend that they are left immersed in water permanently as this can cause corrosion over time.

How do I switch the display readout from psi to bar?

Simply remove and replace the receiver from its magnetic base three times in quick succession, and the readout will change. Complete the process a second time to revert back.

Can the system be used off road?

The receiver is held in place through magnetism, so very extreme off road conditions may have the potential for the receiver to become dislodged in the holder. We therefore do not recommend it be used in such conditions.

Can the system be used with rubber valves?

We use one of the lightest TPMS sensors on the market and they have been successfully tested at speed. We recommend they be fitted to metal valves, however if rubber valves are used, please ensure they are high quality rubber valve stems and free from damage. Furthermore, we advise the stems be checked on a regular basis to ensure they remain in good working condition.

Will the sensors fit and work on a right angled tyre pressure valve?

Yes they will work, however it needs to be determined prior to purchase if, when fitting the sensor, it will clash with any of the mechanics or parts on the bike when the wheel is in motion.
